01

Getting a scan under 100 KB

100 KB is tight for a page full of print. Upload only the pages the form asks for, scan in black and white if colour is not required, and crop the margins first. A one-page certificate has the best chance of staying readable at this size.

02

Your file stays on your device

Some online compressors send your file to their servers. This one works inside your browser, so a PDF of your marksheet, ID or bank statement never travels anywhere. Close the tab and the tool keeps no copy.

03

The text becomes an image

The smaller copy is made of page images, so its text can no longer be selected; a form that only needs to see the page will usually accept that. The DigiSafe app makes a copy at any size from 10 KB to 20 MB on your phone, and keeps the original encrypted for the next form, free today, with no ads.

Questions about 100 KB PDFs

How do I compress a PDF to 100 KB?+

Choose your PDF in the tool on this page, keep 100 KB selected and tap Shrink. The smaller PDF downloads in your browser, and your original is not changed.

Why will my PDF not go under 100 KB?+

A long or colour-heavy PDF may not fit 100 KB and stay readable. Remove the pages the form does not need, or crop the margins, and try again.

Should I split my PDF to get under 100 KB?+

If the form lets you upload each document on its own, yes: split the PDF and shrink each part. One page in each file stays far sharper at 100 KB than ten pages in one.

Will my certificate stay readable at 100 KB?+

Usually, for a one-page certificate scanned straight and in black and white. Check the downloaded copy before you upload it.
