- Second lock
- Fingerprint, Face ID or account password

- Copied passwords clear after 45 s, where allowed

Keep logins, bank account details, card numbers and Wi-Fi passwords in DigiSafe, next to your documents. They get a second lock: your fingerprint or account password opens them, not just your PIN. Free today, with no ads.
A real moment
“The netbanking password is in a diary, the email login is saved in one browser and the Wi-Fi password is on the back of the router. When something goes wrong, nobody in the family can find any of it.”
DigiSafe saves 11 kinds of private item, including logins, bank accounts, payment cards, ID cards, Wi-Fi, passports and secret notes. They are encrypted like your documents, then locked a second time, so your PIN alone cannot open them: your fingerprint, Face ID or account password does. DigiSafe does not fill in passwords in your browser for you.

A second lock, not just your PIN
Passwords and other private items are encrypted once with your vault key and again with a separate secrets key. Your PIN shows the item, but the password, card number and other secret values need your fingerprint, Face ID or account password. They lock again after 5 minutes without use, or when the app is hidden for more than a minute, and a shown password hides itself after 30 seconds.

Strong passwords, made for you
The generator makes passwords of 8 to 64 characters, 20 by default, or easy-to-type passphrases, and a meter shows how strong a password is as you type it.

Password health
Password health lists the passwords that are weak, used more than once, older than 180 days or found in a known leak. The leak check is optional: it uses Have I Been Pwned, and only the first 5 characters of a scrambled code of your password leave your browser, never the password itself.

Move over from another app
Import a CSV export from Bitwarden, 1Password, Chrome or Edge, LastPass or Firefox. Your passwords are only included in a full data download if you choose that and confirm with your fingerprint or password again, and they are then in plain text in that file.

What DigiSafe will not do
It does not autofill passwords in your browser, has no browser extension, does not store passkeys and does not make 2FA codes yet, so you copy and paste instead. It also refuses to save anything it recognises as an OTP or a payment PIN, such as your UPI PIN: keep those in your head, not in any app.

If something happens to you
Choose which items to leave for your nominee. If you do not open the app for a period you choose, 90 days by default, your nominee is alerted, and after a waiting period, 7 days by default, they get access. You get reminders 14, 7 and 1 day before, so you can stop it in time. Your nominee can also ask for access early, and opening the app stops it.

How to do it
- 1
Install DigiSafe from your browser; setup takes about two minutes.
- 2
Open Notes and choose a Login, a Bank account or another private item.
- 3
Set up the second lock with your fingerprint or account password, and keep the recovery key safe: if you reset your password by email, only it or a fingerprint device can open your saved passwords.
- 4
Import your old passwords from a CSV file, if you have one.
- 5
Open Password health to find weak or reused passwords.
Questions people ask

It saves passwords, bank details and other private items behind a second lock, with a generator and a health check. Yes. DigiSafe imports CSV exports from Bitwarden, 1Password, Chrome or Edge, LastPass and Firefox.
