01

Why a form rejects a file as too small

Many portals set a floor as well as a ceiling. NEET UG 2026 takes a photo of 10 to 200 KB and a signature of 10 to 100 KB, SSC asks for a signature of 10 to 20 KB, and the Indian e-Visa takes a photo of 10 KB to 1 MB. A tightly cropped signature or a photo saved from a chat can come out under 10 KB, and the upload fails even though it looks fine.

Make it smaller in the DigiSafe app

02

How the file gets bigger

The tool saves your picture again as a JPG at higher quality, and adds pixels only when top quality is still too small. It stops just over your minimum, usually within 15%, so the file stays under the form's upper limit. Nothing is padded with empty data: the result is an ordinary JPG. Enlarging cannot add detail the photo never had, so start from the sharpest copy you have.

03

When a form gives a range

Pick the lower number. For a 10 to 20 KB signature, choose 10 KB and the file lands a little over 10 KB, inside the range. If your file is already over the upper limit, use the image size reducer instead, which makes it fit under a maximum.

04

Your photo stays on your device

Some online resizers send your file to their servers. This one works inside your browser, so your photo or signature never travels anywhere. Close the tab and the tool keeps no copy.

05

Keep the good copy for next time

Forms reject small files most often when the only copy left is a compressed one from a chat. In the DigiSafe app, scan your photo and signature once at full quality; they stay encrypted on your phone, ready to resize for the next form. DigiSafe is free today, with no ads.

Questions about increasing image size

How do I increase image size in KB?+

Choose your photo, pick the minimum the form asks for, such as 20 KB or 50 KB, then tap Increase. The tool makes a JPG just over that size in your browser, and you download it. Your original file is not changed.

How do I increase a photo to 20 KB or 50 KB?+

Tap 20 KB or 50 KB, or type your own size under Other, then tap Increase. The result lands a little over the size you chose, usually within 15%.

Does increasing the KB make the photo worse?+

No. The file grows by saving at higher quality first, and by adding pixels only if needed. It cannot add detail the photo never had, so a blurry photo stays blurry. Start from the sharpest copy you have.

The form wants a file between 20 KB and 50 KB. What do I pick?+

Pick 20 KB, the lower number. The file lands just over 20 KB, well inside the range. If a file is over the upper limit, use the image size reducer to bring it under.

Why does NEET or SSC say my signature is too small?+

Both set a 10 KB minimum: NEET UG 2026 takes a signature of 10 to 100 KB, and SSC a signature of 10 to 20 KB. Choose 10 KB here, and the file lands just over it. Our exam photo and signature guide links both notices.

Can this increase the size of a PDF?+

No, this tool takes JPG, PNG and WebP photos. To make a PDF, turn the enlarged photo into one with the free image to PDF tool.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?+

No. The work happens in your browser on your own device. The file is never sent to DigiSafe or anyone else.
