A real moment
“The LIC policy number is in a chat, the locker details are on a scrap of paper and the Wi-Fi password is on the back of the router. The rest sits in your phone's notes app, open to anyone holding the phone.”
DigiSafe Notes holds rich-text notes, checklists and voice notes of up to 10 minutes, with labels, notebooks, colours, pins, reminders and up to 20 attachments a note. Each note is encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM before it is saved, like your documents, so our servers cannot read it.

More than a notes app
Write a note, tick through a checklist, record a voice note of up to 10 minutes or add photos and files. Organise with labels, notebooks, colours and pins, set a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly reminder, and link a note to a document you scanned. Templates such as LIC policy and If something happens to me get you started.

Locked like your documents
Each note gets a fresh AES-256-GCM key every time you save it, and that key is locked with your vault key, the same one that protects your documents. Notes are padded before upload, so a short list and a saved password look the same size to our servers.

On every device, even offline
Notes sync across your phone and computer and open with no signal. Edits made offline go up when you are back online. If two devices change the same note, DigiSafe keeps a conflict copy instead of losing either edit.

Search that stays on your device
Search runs on your device, across titles, labels, notebooks and kinds, and through the text of notes you have opened since you unlocked. Passwords and other values behind the second lock are never searched.

Share a note, safely
Send a note by link or QR code that stops working after 2 minutes to 7 days or 1, 3 or 10 opens, whichever comes first, with an optional 4-digit code. Or add a copy to a family folder, where every member can read it. Passwords and other private items cannot be shared this way.

Bring your notes, take them with you
Import from Google Keep (Keep attachments stay in your Takeout download) or Markdown files. Export any note as a PDF, Markdown or text, or download all your data as a ZIP file whenever you like (files attached to notes are not included in it).

Questions people ask
Are DigiSafe notes end-to-end encrypted?+
Yes. Each note is encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM before it is saved, using a key locked by your vault key, so our servers store only scrambled data.
Do the notes work offline?+
Yes. Notes open with no signal, and edits you make offline sync when you are back online. If two devices change the same note, you get a conflict copy instead of a lost edit.
Can I move my notes from Google Keep?+
Yes. DigiSafe imports Google Keep notes and Markdown files, and can import password CSV files from other apps too.
How many notes can I keep?+
Up to 2,000 notes and 10 MB of note text. Each note can hold up to 20 files of 25 MB and voice notes of up to 10 minutes, within your account's 250 MB of storage.
Can I save passwords in a note?+
Use a Login or another private item instead. Their secret values get a second lock, so your fingerprint, Face ID or account password must open them, and passwords are never searched.
Is the notes app free?+
Yes. Notes are part of DigiSafe, which is free today, with no ads.
