The Aadhaar PVC card is a wallet-size plastic Aadhaar that UIDAI prints and posts to you. Order it on myAadhaar for Rs 75 (as of 20 October 2026), even without a registered mobile, and it is as valid as e-Aadhaar.

Fees as listed on 20 October 2026. They come from the official pages in the sources below and can change at any time. DigiSafe cannot guarantee them, so check the official page before you pay.

A real moment

“Your paper Aadhaar letter has torn along the folds, and you want a card that survives a wallet. The form at the bank still needs an Aadhaar this month.”

Open the Order Aadhaar PVC Card page on myAadhaar, enter your Aadhaar number, enrolment ID or SID with the captcha, verify with an OTP, and pay Rs 75, including GST and Speed Post. A non-registered mobile works too, without a preview. UIDAI says the card normally arrives within 10 working days.

What the PVC card is

UIDAI calls the PVC card a compact, more durable version of Aadhaar that holds the same validity as e-Aadhaar and the paper Aadhaar letter. It is printed with the latest details in the Aadhaar database, so update your address or photo first if they have changed.

Order it with your registered mobile

On myAadhaar's Order Aadhaar PVC Card page, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, 28-digit enrolment ID or SID, and the captcha, then verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile. You can preview your name, date of birth, gender and address before you pay. UIDAI says a holder with a registered mobile can order for themselves or for others.

No registered mobile? You can still order

Tick the box that says you do not have a registered mobile number, and enter any other mobile to get the OTP. UIDAI notes one difference: there is no preview of the card when you order this way. The card still goes to the address registered with UIDAI.

Ordering for a family member

If your own mobile is registered with Aadhaar, choose Others on the order page. You confirm that you are authorised to place the request for that person, and the card is delivered to their registered address, not yours. UIDAI also says you can reorder a PVC card more than once.

The fee and payment

UIDAI listed Rs 75, including GST and Speed Post, on 20 October 2026. A UIDAI office memorandum dated 12 December 2025 raised it from Rs 50, from 1 January 2026, so older pages that say Rs 50 are out of date. Pay by credit or debit card, net banking, UPI or wallet. If the order is not processed for technical reasons, myAadhaar's refund policy says UIDAI would refund the full Rs 75, and that a refund may take 24 hours to 10 working days.

Delivery and tracking

UIDAI's FAQ says the card is normally delivered within 10 working days, not counting the day you order, by India Post Speed Post. After you pay, you get a 14-digit SRN. Check it on myAadhaar's PVC order status page, which shows the AWB number and dispatch date once the card is sent. UIDAI also sends the AWB to your registered mobile, and you track it on India Post's site.

No hologram? That is normal now

UIDAI lists the card's security features as a tamper-proof QR code, micro text, a ghost image, the issue date and print date, a guilloche pattern and an embossed Aadhaar logo. A UIDAI circular of 17 October 2025 stopped the hologram, so a new card arrives without one.

Need Aadhaar before the card comes?

Download the e-Aadhaar on myAadhaar with an OTP to your registered mobile. UIDAI says it is as valid as the physical copy for every purpose, so it covers you while the PVC card is in the post.

Keep a copy of the card too

When the card arrives, scan the front and back in DigiSafe as one document, encrypted on your phone. Share a copy with the first 8 digits hidden and a watermark that says what it is for. DigiSafe is a private app, not connected with UIDAI, and free today, with no ads.
