Every state applies the same federal minimum: proof of your full legal name and date of birth, your Social Security number, two proofs of your home address, and lawful status. What follows is what this state adds.

A real moment

“You live with your parents in Florida, and every bill is in their name. Your current licence shows the address, but you have heard it does not count.”

Florida asks for two different documents showing your Florida home address, and printouts or faxes are fine. Many must be dated within the last 60 days, and your current licence does not count. Bring an original showing your full Social Security number. Your first REAL ID needs an office visit.
